Perfect Balance

Perfect Balance

Morning turns
On the wind
And the clouds
In perfect balance
In the same way
A hawks wings
Reflect
Off the thermals
With a silent grace
Full of complete
Spontaneity
Held tight
By total
Concentration

How else
Could he stay aloft
Unless his wings
Turned in harmony
With the wind
And how else
Could he stay balanced
On the thinness
Of the air
Unless he was in absolute
Control

I have never seen
A bird
Fall from the sky
From making a mistake
And yet it seems
We humans
Stumble
All the time
Even though our feet
Are planted so firmly
On the ground!
